| I know I've seen this somewhere, but I can't remember how to do it. So how do you set fadeouts in midi, not an automation track but fade in/out in the midi transform. I know it's possible to be able to set it somehow so that you can draw the automationcurve within the transform but I can't remember where! Very frustrating with memory loss, need to upgrade my brain somehow. Anyways, thanks for any ideas on this. | Win7 x64, i7 920 @ 3,2ghz, corsair vengeance 24gb ddr3, sapphire radeon hd 6450, kingston v300 60gb ssd (system), kingston v300 120gb ssd (ongoing projects), wd caviar black 500gb hdd Studio one professional 2.6.2 with Jbridge Melodyne editor 2 Toneboosters Slate digital VTM/VCC and FG-X Waves vocal and bass rider 2xUAD-2 solo cards Presonus firestudio Presonus firestudio project Focusrite octopre dynamic | Subject:Re:midi fadeout | Tacman7 Presonic Joined: 01/04/2013 19:36:25 Messages: 422 Offline
| I avoid this sort of thing just like mixing with midi. Volume gradients change between devices and you get a lot of strange things happening. But if you can show the volume CC #7 (in cubase it's underneath the key editor view, not sure about S1), Then you can get a line tool and draw a fade and it will generate the midi events realtime. You would then have to do another command if you wanted to print those events to the track, forgot which one that is though.. Or you could manually enter events maybe in list view and copy and paste, just change parameters. Depends if this is a one time thing or you want to do it all the time.

| Touch a volume knob or similar on the instrument, go to control link and drag the hand icon directly to the midi key editor, draw your fade. Hope that helps.
